subText Music and Media Arts Association is a
not-for-profit society, registered in the Province of Nova Scotia

subText is an event producer, event presenter, and a
performing ensemble, under the artistic direction of
Halifax-based composer/performer Steven Naylor.

subText's goal is to support the creation of a wide variety
of contemporary music and media arts.

Philosophy

The name subText reflects the underlying nuances
of meaning in the experience of any form of
artistic expression-- the intersection of concrete
and abstract, perception and imagination.
